6. Do I need travel insurance?

Yes. While our packages include AMREF Flying Doctors emergency evacuation cover, comprehensive travel insurance—covering cancellation, medical expenses, personal liability, and baggage—is mandatory.

7. Are airport transfers included?

All domestic and lodge transfers specified in the itinerary are included. You’ll be met by our representative on arrival and escorted throughout your journey.

8. What is a “flying safari”?

A flying safari uses scheduled light-aircraft flights between lodges, allowing you to cover vast distances in comfort and enjoy aerial views of the landscape, saving time for more game drives.

9. Can you accommodate dietary requirements?

Yes. All our lodge and resort partners cater to dietary needs—vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, kosher, halal. Inform us at booking, and we’ll communicate your preferences to the chefs.

10. What should I pack for my safari and beach holiday?

Pack lightweight, neutral-coloured clothing, a wide-brimmed hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, binoculars, camera gear, swimwear, and a light jacket for cooler evenings on safari.

11. How physically demanding are the game drives?

Game drives are conducted in open-sided 4×4 vehicles with comfortable seating. Most drives last 3–5 hours with breaks. Safe for all fitness levels, but we recommend moderate walking for lodge activities.

12. Is gratuity included?

Gratuities for guides, drivers, and lodge staff are not included. As a guideline, £10–£15 per guest per day for guides and £3–£5 per guest per day for lodge staff is customary.

13. Can I travel outside the specified periods?

Yes. Although these offers focus on March and May 2026, Louise and Scott can arrange travel outside these windows—subject to availability and seasonal pricing.

14. What currencies are accepted on safari?

Major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) are widely accepted at lodges and resorts. Carry some US dollars or Kenyan/Tanzanian shillings for local markets, tipping, and small purchases.

15. How do I secure my booking?

A £300 deposit per person locks in your flights and accommodations. Once we receive your deposit, we confirm all services and send a detailed itinerary. The balance is due 10–12 weeks before departure.
