What is the best time of year to travel to Tanzania?

Tanzania is a fantastic year-round destination, but the best time depends on what you want to see. The dry season, from late June to October, is peak season for wildlife viewing as animals congregate around water sources. The travel period for this offer, March, is at the end of the ‘short rains’ and beginning of the ‘long rains’. It’s a ‘green season’ with lush landscapes, fewer crowds, and many newborn animals. It’s a beautiful time to visit.

Are visas required for UK citizens?

Yes, British passport holders require a visa to enter Tanzania. This can typically be obtained online in advance through the official Tanzanian immigration website or, in some cases, upon arrival. What vaccinations are recommended?

We advise consulting your GP or a travel clinic at least 8 weeks before your departure.
